LATAM Airlines Colombia and Qatar Airways have signed a codeshare agreement that will link Bogotá with 17 domestic Colombian destinations from November, giving travellers from across the country one-stop access to Doha and Qatar Airways’ long-haul network across the Middle East, India and Asia. The arrangement also allows passengers arriving in Bogotá on Qatar Airways to continue within Colombia on LATAM’s domestic services.
The partnership extends a commercial relationship between the two airlines that began in 2016 through LATAM Brazil. Under the new agreement, Qatar Airways will place its code on LATAM Colombia flights from Bogotá to Armenia, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Ibagué, Leticia, Medellín, Montería, Neiva, Pereira, Pasto, Riohacha, San Andrés, Santa Marta and Yopal.
The move strengthens Qatar Airways’ domestic feed in Colombia as it prepares to expand its Bogotá operation, while broadening LATAM’s reach into Qatar Airways’ international network via Hamad International Airport in Doha. The agreement is particularly relevant for travellers outside Bogotá, who gain a single-ticket pathway to markets in the Middle East, India and Asia without needing separate domestic and international bookings.
