Jetcraft is again marketing the former German government Airbus A340-300, 16+02, known as Theodor Heuss, after earlier sale efforts failed to secure a buyer. The long-range VIP aircraft, once operated by Germany’s Flugbereitschaft, is being offered internationally with a VVIP interior for 145 passengers, a stated nonstop range of up to 15 hours and a promised white repaint on delivery.
The aircraft entered German government service in 2011 and remains identifiable by its black-red-gold striping, although Jetcraft’s latest promotion presents it as a fresh resale opportunity. The jet is listed with an executive suite, communications centre, conference room and lounge, reflecting the market for large widebody aircraft configured for state, corporate and charter use. The airframe has logged 50,710 flight hours and 8,768 landings, underlining its long service history.
No asking price or prospective buyer has been disclosed. The renewed listing highlights continuing interest in former state aircraft that can be repurposed for high-end private transport, even as operators look for large cabins and long range in the used VIP market.
