JetBlue has placed its Flight Operations, Inflight Experience and Technical Operations units under one leader as part of an organisational reshuffle designed to sharpen coordination and execution. Jeffrey Winter has been promoted to senior vice president and will join the carrier’s senior leadership team while continuing to report to chief operating officer Warren Christie.
Winter will oversee three of JetBlue’s largest operational areas, giving him control of functions that affect day-to-day reliability, crew performance and aircraft technical support. The airline framed the change as an evolution of its operations organisation aligned with its JetForward strategy.
Winter has served as vice president, Flight Operations since 2015 and has been with JetBlue since that year. Before joining the airline, he spent 26 years in the US Navy, a background JetBlue highlighted as part of his leadership profile.
