Jazeera Airways to train cadet pilots in Spain with BAA Training

Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways has partnered with BAA Training to provide integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence training for two groups of cadets at Lleida-Alguaire Airport in Spain. The 18-month programme includes theoretical instruction, single- and multi-engine flight training and Airbus A320 Multi-Crew Cooperation training, supporting the airline’s plans for fleet and network growth. The first group began training in August 2026.

The programme is designed to take cadets from initial pilot training through airline-oriented competencies, including technical skills, decision-making, leadership and multi-crew operations. Training will use an Airbus A320 Level 2 flight-training device to familiarise students with the cockpit and systems of the aircraft type used for Jazeera Airways’ short- and medium-haul operations.

After completing the course, the cadets are expected to continue with the process required to obtain an A320 type rating before initially serving as co-pilots. Jazeera Airways Chief Operations Officer Ayman Alshammari described developing qualified pilots for the next generation of the airline as a priority.

The agreement does not disclose the number of cadets in either group or its financial value. A firm graduation date has also not been provided.
