Flight Pro International Upgrades Connect Trip-Planning Software

Flight Pro International has upgraded its Flight Pro Connect trip-management software with Trip Planner and Trip Notifications, giving business-aviation schedulers, dispatchers and pilots access to operational information for more than 25,000 airports in over 190 countries. The Houston-based company has also added configurable alerts covering permits, slots, handling and other trip requirements, allowing information to be tailored to users’ operational roles.

Trip Planner provides airport operating hours and requirements, country-specific regulations, landing-permit and immigration information, FBO and ground-handling options, weather and NOTAMs. Detailed maps and photographs help users identify FBOs and other airport facilities. Flight Pro International maintains that the underlying information is continuously monitored by local partners within its Special Services Network.

Trip Notifications allows customers to select the subjects, format and level of detail of operational alerts. Notifications can cover airports, landing and overflight permits, slots, handling, parking, fuel requests, hotels, catering and other trip-management elements. The configuration is intended to give schedulers detailed updates while providing senior executives with a higher-level view of trip status.

Roberto Cormack, Flight Pro International’s executive vice-president and chief information officer, described the two features as a way to deliver refreshed operational data and route updates to the appropriate user at the appropriate time. The company has not disclosed pricing, implementation dates, customer names or performance metrics for the upgrades.
