Eve Air Mobility has signed a binding agreement with Brazilian operator FlyBIS Aviation for up to 12 eVTOL aircraft, comprising two firm orders and purchase rights for ten more. FlyBIS plans to deploy the aircraft in southern Brazil, initially serving destinations in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Routes under consideration include links along the Santa Catarina coast and services to tourism destinations in Rio Grande do Sul.
The agreement follows a 2022 letter of intent between the companies that contemplated up to 40 aircraft. The new deal sets out a smaller potential fleet, with only the first two aircraft ordered firmly. No contract value, delivery schedule or planned start-of-service date has been disclosed.
Potential routes include Navegantes, Balneário Camboriú and Florianópolis, as well as Gramado and Bento Gonçalves. Eve and FlyBIS are working on route planning, operational readiness, infrastructure and integration with the wider transport system. These remain preparatory plans; the agreement does not establish that the routes will operate.
Eve’s aircraft remains in development and flight testing. The company is pursuing certification for the Eve 100, with Brazil’s ANAC as the lead authority and validation work planned with regulators in Europe and the United States. The FlyBIS agreement therefore represents a fleet commitment ahead of aircraft certification and entry into service.
