Emirates launches daily Airbus A350 service to Helsinki

Emirates has launched its first-ever Dubai–Helsinki service, operating daily with an Airbus A350 and opening the airline’s first route to Finland. The inaugural EK167 departed Dubai on 1 October with a near-full passenger and cargo load, and the new link is the only year-round direct connection between the UAE and Finland.

The route is operated with the A350, Emirates’ newest widebody type, configured with 298 seats across Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Emirates has timed the service to connect Helsinki with almost 140 onward destinations via Dubai across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and Australasia.

Cargo is a central part of the new operation, with up to 16 tonnes of bellyhold capacity available on each flight. Emirates expects trade on the route to focus on pharmaceuticals, electronics, machinery, timber and perishables, extending the service’s value beyond passenger traffic.

Helsinki becomes a new destination in the airline’s network as Emirates continues to expand A350 deployment across long-haul routes. The daily schedule also gives travellers and shippers a direct, year-round option between the two markets that had not previously been linked nonstop on a permanent basis.
