Embraer’s consolidated firm-order backlog reached a record US$35.7 billion at the end of the third quarter, driven by growth across its commercial, executive, defence and services businesses. The total rose 3% from the previous quarter and 14% year on year, while new E2-family orders included 20 E195-E2s for Abra Group, eight E190-E2s for ANA Holdings and five E195-E2s for Binter.
Commercial Aviation accounted for US$15.8 billion, up 5% quarter on quarter and 4% year on year. Embraer booked 36 firm E2-family orders and 30 purchase rights or options during the quarter. Abra Group’s order also included additional purchase rights and options, while ANA Holdings expanded its existing E190-E2 commitment.
Executive Aviation reached a record backlog of US$8.2 billion, and Services & Support rose to US$5.6 billion. Defence & Security stood at US$6.1 billion, 56% higher than a year earlier, supported partly by Colombia’s order for two KC-390 Millennium aircraft. The backlog represents undelivered firm orders across Embraer’s businesses and provides visibility on future deliveries and revenue, but does not constitute recognised revenue or guaranteed profit.
