Embraer delivers 2,000th E-Jet as family strengthens position in regional market

Embraer has delivered its 2,000th E-Jet, with the milestone aircraft going to Azul and underlining the long-running family’s place among the world’s most successful commercial jet programmes. The event centres on the E170, E175, E190 and E195, together with the newer E2 variants, as the Brazilian manufacturer highlights sustained demand in the sub-150-seat segment.

The E-Jet family entered service in 2004 and has grown into a global fleet used by more than 90 airlines in over 60 countries. Embraer has positioned the programme as one of the world’s three largest commercial jet families, reflecting its reach across regional and thin-route networks. The aircraft have been favoured by operators seeking a balance of passenger comfort, efficiency and reliability on sectors too small for larger narrowbody jets.

The 2,000th delivery also points to the continuing commercial relevance of the E2 generation, which has extended the family’s appeal with lower fuel burn and updated performance. For airlines, the type remains a practical option for markets where frequency, economics and right-sized capacity matter more than maximum seat count. The milestone reinforces Embraer’s standing in a segment where demand has remained steady across multiple regions.
