EasyJet has cancelled about 100 flights to and from French airports over the weekend of 15-16 August after cabin crew walked out over working conditions and repeated last-minute schedule changes. The disruption hit routes from Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly, Nice, Bordeaux and Lyon, with holiday traffic and return journeys across southern Europe and North Africa among the busiest affected services.
Roughly half of EasyJet’s 900 France-based cabin crew joined the strike, prompting cancellations on domestic and international routes during one of the peak summer travel periods. Some reporting also included Nantes among the affected bases. The walkout followed months of disputes over rosters and working conditions, with unions saying they had already given warning of further action.
EasyJet moved to cancel the flights in advance so passengers could reorganise their trips and offered free rebooking on alternative services. Most of the affected services were removed from schedules before departure, limiting last-minute airport disruption but leaving travellers facing widespread changes across the French network.
