The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has selected daa International to develop, lease and operate a dedicated VIP passenger terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport. The approximately 37,000-square-foot facility will serve passengers travelling on any commercial airline, with a 30-month development phase followed by an initial 20-year operating term.
The terminal will be built on a 1.2-acre site near Dulles’ cargo buildings and will be separate from private-jet facilities. It will provide dedicated parking and an entrance, private security screening for domestic and international passengers, suites and lounges, personalised check-in and baggage handling, and premium vehicle transport directly to aircraft.
The facility is planned as the first dedicated VIP passenger terminal of its kind in the National Capital Region. It is intended to offer an alternative to the main terminal’s conventional check-in and security process while retaining access to scheduled commercial flights. Corgan will design the building.
MWAA awarded the contract to daa International in July 2026 after issuing a request for proposals in September 2025. The contract value has been reported at $125 million, while pricing for passengers has not yet been disclosed. Potential packages could include a subscription option, although no commercial structure has been confirmed.
