Discover Airlines will expand its long-haul network in 2027 with new services from Frankfurt to Edmonton, Canada, and Belize City, Belize, while taking over Lufthansa’s existing flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Seattle. The expansion will make Edmonton the airline’s third Canadian destination and introduce the first nonstop Germany–Edmonton link, with the Seattle routes transferring to Discover from late March.
Frankfurt–Edmonton will begin on 1 June 2027 with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service will complement Discover’s existing routes to Calgary and Halifax and provide Germany’s only nonstop connection with Edmonton.
The airline will launch Frankfurt–Belize City on 16 December 2027. The seasonal service will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, through mid-April 2028. Discover describes the route as its first service to Belize and the first European airline operation to the country.
From late March 2027, Discover will operate Lufthansa’s Frankfurt–Seattle and Munich–Seattle services, with frequencies of up to daily. Existing Lufthansa passengers are expected to have their bookings transferred automatically. Edmonton and Seattle flights are available through Discover, Lufthansa and other Lufthansa Group booking channels, while Belize tickets are due to go on sale from mid-December 2026.
