Delta startet neue Europastrecken nach Venedig und Athen

Delta Air Lines will add two seasonal transatlantic routes for summer 2027, linking Boston with Venice from 7 May and Detroit with Athens from 8 June. The Boston service will run four times a week through 29 October, while the Detroit route will operate three times weekly until 28 October, expanding the carrier’s Europe network from both U.S. hubs.

The Boston–Venice launch gives Delta another direct Mediterranean option from New England and extends its presence in one of Europe’s most heavily travelled leisure markets. In Detroit, the Athens route opens a new nonstop link to Greece and broadens the airport’s long-haul offering with a destination that also serves as a gateway to the Greek islands. Delta frames the move as part of a wider push across its Europe schedule for 2027, alongside its previously disclosed Austin–Paris service and a longer summer season on other transatlantic routes.

Both new services are seasonal, underlining Delta’s focus on peak summer demand rather than year-round operation. Boston will become Delta’s third U.S. gateway to Venice, while Athens will be Detroit’s first nonstop destination in Greece.
