Delta Air Lines will launch seasonal nonstop service from Detroit to Athens and from Boston to Venice in summer 2027, adding two transatlantic routes on its Airbus A330 fleet. Boston–Venice begins 7 May 2027 and operates four times a week through 29 October on an A330-300, while Detroit–Athens starts 8 June and runs three times weekly through 28 October on an A330-200.
The Detroit–Athens service creates the first nonstop link between the two cities and extends Delta’s Greek network from its Detroit hub. Venice becomes Delta’s 13th unique long-haul destination from Boston in the peak summer season, while Athens will be the carrier’s 12th from Detroit. The two routes join Delta’s previously announced Austin–Paris service as part of a broader Europe schedule for 2027, with longer seasonal windows across several transatlantic markets. Delta is positioning the additions to widen access to southern Europe and support further connections through its hub network.
