Daher has delivered the first Kodiak 900 to a European customer, expanding the turboprop’s presence in the region. Swiss couple Roland and Claudia Primus accepted the aircraft at Daher’s facility in Sandpoint, Idaho, and will base it at Bad Ragaz Aerodrome, where the 495-metre runway highlights the value of the aircraft’s short-take-off-and-landing capability for adventure flying across Europe and potentially Greenland.
The Primuses are moving up from a Cessna 182 and selected the Kodiak 900 for its combination of STOL performance, a maximum cruise speed of 210 knots, and the ability to operate from grass and gravel strips. The aircraft will carry equipment including mountain bikes, windsurfing gear and expedition supplies.
The delivery follows Daher’s emphasis at NBAA-BACE 2026 on expanding Kodiak and TBM applications in business aviation, including charter operations and corporate travel in Europe. The Kodiak 900, introduced in 2022, is a larger and faster development of the Kodiak 100. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-140A engine, seats up to 10 people and has a cabin more than 20% larger than its predecessor.
Daher is positioning the aircraft beyond traditional utility missions for multimission operations requiring payload capacity and access to short, unimproved runways. The European delivery provides the manufacturer with a customer reference as it develops demand for the model outside its established North American market.
