Collins Aerospace has expanded its MRO facility at Subang Aerotech Park in Subang, Malaysia, adding a regional hub for advanced component maintenance, repair and overhaul across Asia-Pacific.
The $63 million project quadruples the Selangor footprint from 46,000 to 164,000 square feet and is due to be fully transitioned by the end of 2026. New workscopes cover air cycle machines, heat exchangers, valves and new-generation starters, while the site will use digital tier boards, eAndon, autonomous mobile robots and real-time location systems to cut turnaround time and lift productivity.
The move tracks a wider fleet-support push as Asia-Pacific MRO demand rises. For operators and suppliers, it shifts more repair capacity closer to the line and to the AOG clock.
