CAE expands Americas simulator network for four business jets

CAE has expanded its business-aviation training network in the Americas with four additional full-flight simulators for the Bombardier Global 6500, Embraer Praetor 600, Pilatus PC-24 and Cessna Citation CJ4. The company unveiled the expansion at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas on Wednesday, responding to rising demand for type-specific business-jet pilot training.

The four devices cover distinct segments of the market, from the large-cabin Global 6500 to the light-jet Citation CJ4. The Praetor 600 represents the super-midsize category, while the PC-24 serves the light-jet segment. Together, the additions broaden access to training across several business-aircraft fleets rather than concentrating capacity on a single model.

Full-flight-simulator capacity is aircraft-type specific, meaning each device creates a separate pool of availability for recurrent and other required pilot training. Additional regional capacity can help operators manage scheduling, aircraft positioning and training logistics as their fleets grow.

CAE did not disclose the simulators’ exact locations, commissioning dates, number of available training slots or qualification levels. The available information also does not establish whether all four devices are newly installed or newly available within the company’s existing network.
