British Airways adds Avios-only flights to Majorca and Crete for August 2027

British Airways will operate two dedicated Avios-only return flights from London Heathrow to Palma de Mallorca and Heraklion in August 2027. The services, scheduled for the peak summer holiday period, will make every seat available as a Reward Flight to British Airways Club members. Outbound flights are planned for 14 August, with returns on 21 August.

Flight BA494 will leave Heathrow for Palma at 12:50, arriving at 16:20. The return BA495 is scheduled to depart at 17:15 and reach Heathrow at 18:45. Fares start at 28,000 Avios plus £5 return in Euro Traveller, or 49,000 Avios plus £40 in Club Europe, with checked baggage included.

The Heraklion service, BA698, will depart Heathrow at 11:25 and arrive at 17:30. BA697 will return from Crete at 16:45, landing at Heathrow at 18:50. Pricing starts at 35,500 Avios plus £5 return in Euro Traveller and 60,000 Avios plus £40 in Club Europe.

The flights are due to go on sale through ba.com on 22 October. As both outbound services operate on the same day, they cannot be combined in a single itinerary. The dedicated flights follow earlier Avios-only services that reportedly sold out quickly, as British Airways targets demand for reward seats during the expensive August school-holiday period.
