Avelo expands McKinney network with two Florida routes

Avelo Airlines will add nonstop services from McKinney National Airport in Texas to Sarasota-Bradenton and West Palm Beach, expanding its planned network at the Dallas-area airport to 11 destinations. Sarasota-Bradenton flights will begin on 16 December, followed by West Palm Beach on 17 December. Both routes will operate twice weekly, with introductory one-way fares from USD 69, subject to availability and travel restrictions.

The Sarasota-Bradenton service will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while flights to West Palm Beach will run on Thursdays and Sundays. The latter destination is identified in Avelo’s schedule as President Donald J. Trump International Airport.

The new routes join previously announced Florida services from McKinney to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa. Avelo’s initial McKinney operation is scheduled to start on 11 November, as the airport prepares to transition from general aviation to scheduled commercial passenger service. A new commercial terminal is being developed to support the operation.

Avelo will also increase its McKinney-Las Vegas schedule by two weekly flights, bringing that service to six flights per week during the relevant travel period. The carrier’s broader planned network from McKinney includes additional destinations in Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee.
