American Airlines will launch nonstop service between Miami International Airport and Barcelona, Venezuela, on 15 January 2027, adding a third destination in the country. The route will operate three times weekly with Embraer 175 aircraft, expanding the carrier’s schedule between the United States and Venezuela to 24 flights per week. Barcelona will join Caracas and Maracaibo in American’s Miami-based network.
Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Miami departure is set for 10:15, arriving in Barcelona at 14:52, while the return will leave at 15:32 and reach Miami at 18:19. Timings are local and subject to change.
The service will operate to General José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport, serving the capital of Anzoátegui state in eastern Venezuela. The E175 aircraft will feature a premium cabin, Wi-Fi and in-seat power. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on 19 October through American’s website and mobile application.
Once Barcelona service begins, American’s Venezuela schedule will comprise two daily flights to Caracas, a daily service to Maracaibo and the three weekly flights to Barcelona. The airline resumed service to Venezuela earlier in 2026 after an interruption that began in 2019, and will become the only US carrier with scheduled flights to three Venezuelan destinations.
