Latvian carrier airBaltic is gradually introducing Skynet Air Café, a digital service that allows passengers to order food and drinks from their seats. The service is initially available on short- and medium-haul flights operated by aircraft with Starlink connectivity. Passengers can access the menu through the Skynet onboard portal, the airBaltic app or a QR code in the Baltic Outlook inflight magazine, then pay online while cabin crew deliver the order to their seat.
The system displays menu items, prices, availability, special offers and discounts in real time. Passengers can add products to a digital basket and follow the status of their order. Payments are supported by credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and online banking, with electronic receipts sent by email.
Skynet Air Café is being introduced through airBaltic’s Skynet passenger portal, which became available in March 2026 via the airline’s Starlink Wi-Fi network. The portal brings onboard services and travel information together on passengers’ own devices without requiring a separate download or registration.
The service is expected to expand to additional flights, including longer sectors, as the rollout progresses. AirBaltic Club members may also receive additional benefits, although the airline has not published a full timetable or confirmed the final number of aircraft covered.
