Air Algérie will expand its long-haul network from Algiers with new services to Shanghai and New Delhi in late October, using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The Shanghai route is scheduled to begin on 26 October, while New Delhi is due to start on 25 October, with both destinations planned at three weekly frequencies.
The Shanghai service is already on sale, making it the clearest confirmed part of the programme. Flights to the Chinese city will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while New Delhi is set for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The India route has also been confirmed in the available reporting, though tickets were not yet open at the time of those reports.
The additions give Air Algérie a broader presence in Asia and add a second mainland Chinese destination alongside Beijing and Guangzhou. They also extend the airline’s long-haul growth from Algiers at a time when carriers across the region are rebuilding intercontinental schedules with newer, more efficient widebodies.
