Lufthansa Group has postponed the planned return of Lufthansa, SWISS and Eurowings flights to Dubai until 25 November, citing continued volatility and an unsettled outlook in the Middle East. The decision affects services to Dubai International Airport from Lufthansa’s German hubs, SWISS’s Zurich hub and Eurowings’ planned Berlin operation, extending the group’s suspension of Dubai flights that began in March 2026.
Lufthansa and SWISS had been scheduled to resume service in late October, with Lufthansa’s flights due to restart from Munich and Frankfurt and SWISS planning daily Zurich–Dubai operations. Eurowings had planned to begin daily Berlin–Dubai flights on 1 November. The affected services will now remain out of the schedule until at least 25 November, which remains a planned resumption date rather than a guarantee of operations.
The group continues to monitor regional conditions and maintain contact with relevant authorities. It warned that further short-notice changes could be required as the situation develops, with passenger and crew safety the primary consideration.
Passengers affected by the postponement will be contacted directly and offered flexible rebooking or a full refund. The decision removes the carriers’ planned return to Dubai from the near-term winter schedule and prolongs an interruption of approximately eight months.
