Flair Airlines launches belly-hold cargo services across Canada

Flair Airlines has launched cargo operations using available belly-hold capacity on selected passenger flights across its Canadian network. The Boeing 737 operator will carry domestic freight within Canada and northbound shipments from international markets, including produce and general cargo originating in Kingston, Jamaica, without adding dedicated freighter aircraft.

ExpAir Cargo, working with ECS Group, will manage cargo sales and day-to-day logistics. Shipments will be accepted only where weight and space are available on scheduled passenger services, allowing Flair to use capacity on aircraft already operating across its network.

The programme is intended to support freight movements between Canadian businesses, communities and international markets while making greater use of the airline’s existing fleet. Passenger baggage allowances will remain unchanged.

Flair’s cargo operation covers general freight and other commercial shipments moved on selected services. The airline’s cargo platform identifies major Canadian hubs including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax, although the full operating schedule and route list have not been disclosed. Cargo volumes, financial targets and the precise launch date were also not specified.
