GOL to deploy A330neo on Brazilian domestic routes from November

GOL plans to operate its first Airbus A330-900neo on selected Brazilian domestic routes from November 2026, using the wide-body aircraft to train flight crews and ground personnel ahead of its planned long-haul operation. The first scheduled passenger service is planned for 18 November between Rio de Janeiro-Galeão and Salvador, followed by Belém from 19 November and Manaus from 24 November.

The aircraft, registered PS-WGH, is expected to remain in domestic service until approximately mid-January 2027, although route schedules may change. The deployment will allow GOL to validate operating procedures and complete practical training before the airline’s permanent A330neo fleet is delivered.

PS-WGH is expected to leave GOL after its temporary assignment and transfer to Avianca. The aircraft is part of Abra Group’s wider A330-900neo plans, with Brazilian reporting indicating that up to five aircraft are intended to remain with GOL for its future long-haul operation.

Published reports give conflicting seating figures for PS-WGH, ranging from 298 to 377 seats, so the aircraft’s final configuration remains unconfirmed. The planned flights also remain subject to operational and certification requirements.
