Pilatus, Lufthansa Technik and F/LIST develop hidden touchscreen cabin divider

Pilatus Aircraft, Lufthansa Technik and Austrian cabin supplier F/LIST have unveiled an intelligent cabin divider for business jets in Las Vegas, integrating a concealed 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen into the partition. The partners signed an agreement to advance Lufthansa Technik’s Hidden Touch technology towards series production, with potential applications in new Pilatus aircraft and as a retrofit for existing business-jet cabins.

Presented at NBAA-BACE, the demonstrator combines cabin-partition design with digital controls embedded in the divider’s surface. When inactive, the screen disappears completely; touching the surface brings up functions for cabin lighting, seat adjustment and inflight entertainment, alongside flight information and a moving map.

Lufthansa Technik developed Hidden Touch, which received a Red Dot Design Award in 2025. The technology has also been demonstrated in cabinet and foldable tray-table applications. F/LIST contributes its interior-design and manufacturing expertise, while Pilatus is evaluating the concept for its aircraft lineup.

The cooperation builds on a relationship between Lufthansa Technik and Pilatus dating from 2022, including cabin-management and entertainment systems for the PC-24. The companies have not disclosed a production timetable, certification plan, launch customer or pricing, and the displayed unit remains a demonstrator rather than a confirmed installation in an operational aircraft.
