SalamAir signs distribution agreement with Amadeus

Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has signed a distribution agreement with travel-technology provider Amadeus, giving connected travel sellers access to the airline’s fares and services through the Amadeus Travel Platform. The arrangement is intended to broaden SalamAir’s international reach, improve product visibility in additional markets and support sales as the airline continues expanding its network.

Travel agencies and other distribution partners connected to the Amadeus platform will be able to access SalamAir’s flight content and ancillary services. The carrier expects the additional channel to help it reach new customer segments and reduce reliance on its existing direct and distribution channels.

SalamAir Chief Commercial Officer Steven Allen described the agreement as supporting the airline’s growth plans and strengthening its presence in international markets. The company did not disclose implementation timing, target markets, booking expectations or commercial terms. The agreement also does not specify whether the connection will use a particular distribution standard such as NDC.
