Amac Aerospace is seeing increased demand for maintenance, conversion and cabin-modification work at its Basel facility, particularly for business aircraft. Bombardier maintenance projects are 25% above last year’s level, while the company expects to complete its third major 8C inspection of a Global Express during 2026. It has also secured a medical-transport conversion for a Challenger scheduled for early 2027.
A second medical-conversion project could follow in 2028. Cabin work includes the installation of Gogo FDX communications equipment in a Bombardier Global 5000, which Amac identifies as the first installation of the system in that aircraft type. An Airbus ACJ319 is receiving the same equipment, while two additional Bombardier Challengers are undergoing conversion work.
The group’s French subsidiary JCB Aero also expanded its maintenance scope in August 2026. Its Auch facility received approval covering base and line maintenance on Boeing 737-600, -700, -800 and -900 aircraft. The approval complements JCB Aero’s existing Airbus authorization and broadens the group’s commercial-aircraft MRO capability beyond its established business-aviation activities.
