Boeing and Microsoft launch AI platform for fleet maintenance

Boeing has launched Dataliner, an AI-powered aircraft data-intelligence platform developed with Microsoft to help airlines make fleet-wide maintenance and operational decisions. Introduced in Plano, Texas, the platform combines Boeing’s aircraft and engineering expertise with Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry and data solutions, turning fragmented information into connected intelligence that can help carriers anticipate maintenance needs and identify emerging risks earlier.

Dataliner is designed to combine aircraft performance, maintenance history, maintenance instructions and engineering technical-publication data, providing a broader view of fleet condition than aircraft-specific alerts. Airlines can access Boeing intelligence through applications, APIs, analytics and AI-enabled tools while retaining control of the data they share and keeping it in their own environments. Access controls, encryption and monitoring are intended to support data security and governance.

The platform will provide a common intelligence foundation for Boeing’s Digital Services portfolio. Planned applications include Asset Lifecycle Planning and TechOps AI Agent, while existing products such as Airplane Health Management, Insight Accelerator and Maintenance Performance Toolbox are expected to gain additional connectivity and intelligence. Boeing has not disclosed launch customers, pricing, deployment dates or quantified operational benefits.
