Ryanair to station fourth Boeing 737 at Memmingen and add four routes

Ryanair will station a fourth Boeing 737 at Memmingen Airport in southern Germany by the end of 2026, expanding the base to about 25 routes. The airline plans to add services to Seville, Castellón, Varna and Rimini for the summer 2027 schedule, following the previously announced introduction of Catania and Tirana during winter 2026/27.

The four summer routes were disclosed by Ryanair Germany manager Marcel Meyer-Pouchain. Exact launch dates, frequencies and aircraft allocations have not been specified.

The additional aircraft will give Ryanair four based aircraft at Memmingen, also known as Allgäu Airport. The expansion follows a planned 12% increase in the airline’s winter 2026/27 capacity at the Bavarian airport. Ryanair expects the base to become one of its fastest-growing in Germany.

The move contrasts with capacity reductions or withdrawals at several larger German airports, including Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen. Ryanair has increasingly expanded at lower-cost regional airports, including those in southwestern Germany. The airline has also forecast more than 700,000 passengers at Memmingen during the winter season, representing an 18% increase on the previous winter.
