SyberJet Revamps SJ30-2 as Seven-Seat SJ34

SyberJet Aircraft is revamping its SJ30-2 light jet as the seven-seat SJ34, adding larger engines, a redesigned interior and the company’s proprietary SyberVision avionics suite. Announced around NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas, the upgraded aircraft is projected to cruise at up to Mach 0.83, achieve a range of up to 2,500 nautical miles and enter service in 2029.

The SJ34 is intended to replace the FAA-certified SJ30-2 while retaining the basic aircraft lineage. Power will come from larger Williams FJ44-3 or FJ44-4 engines, while the cabin will be adapted for seven occupants.

SyberVision is being developed in-house rather than sourced from established avionics suppliers such as Garmin or Honeywell. The initial system is planned around six 4K touchscreen displays with full redundancy, allowing one screen to take over another’s functions after a failure. Planned features include interpretation of air traffic control and CPDLC instructions, one-button loading of instructions into the flight plan and smart taxiing.

SyberJet is targeting flight testing of the avionics demonstrator within 12 months and says it is using production software code. The company also presented the nine-seat SJ36, a larger derivative projected to exceed 3,000 nautical miles, reach Mach 0.88 and maintain sea-level cabin pressure to 41,000 feet. The SJ34’s performance, delivery schedule and planned avionics capabilities remain targets rather than demonstrated production results.
