Brussels Airlines will add Cairo to its Summer 2027 schedule with five weekly flights from Brussels, while increasing service to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to three flights per week. The Lufthansa Group carrier will also introduce Evenes in northern Norway to its summer network and expand services to several European leisure destinations from Brussels Airport.
The Kilimanjaro increase will take effect on 28 June 2027, one year after Brussels Airlines launched the route. The service forms part of the carrier’s expanding African network and will provide additional capacity to northern Tanzania.
In Europe, Evenes will move into the summer timetable after becoming available for booking in the 2026/27 winter schedule. Brussels Airlines also plans additional weekly flights to Porto, Heraklion, Zakynthos and Funchal, although the announcement did not specify the precise frequencies for those routes.
The flights form part of the Lufthansa Group’s Summer 2027 programme, which includes new intercontinental connections, new European destinations and frequency increases across its airlines. The schedule opened for booking on 20 October 2026.
