Air India will launch four weekly nonstop flights between Delhi and Osaka Kansai International Airport from 2 February 2027, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The service will make the airline the only operator offering a direct connection between the two cities, with flights scheduled to operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Delhi.
Flight AI360 will depart Delhi at 22:50 and arrive in Osaka at 09:50 the following morning. The return service, AI359, will leave Osaka at 11:50 and reach Delhi at 18:20 the same day. All times are local.
Osaka will become Air India’s second Japanese destination after Tokyo Haneda. The airline currently operates daily flights from Delhi to Tokyo and four weekly services from Mumbai, allowing passengers to combine Osaka and Tokyo in open-jaw itineraries. The new route will also provide direct access to the Kansai region without a connecting flight.
Bookings are being progressively opened through Air India’s website, mobile application, contact centre, airport ticket offices and travel agents. Industry reports have described the 787-8 configuration as having 18 business-class and 241 economy seats, although Air India’s route announcement did not specify the cabin layout.
