PlaneSense to equip all 71 Pilatus aircraft with Gogo satellite Wi-Fi

PlaneSense will equip all 71 aircraft in its current Pilatus fleet with Gogo Galileo satellite Wi-Fi under an agreement with Gogo. The programme covers the US fractional aircraft ownership company’s PC-12 turboprops and PC-24 jets, as well as future deliveries, which will receive the system through factory installation on new PC-24s. Fleetwide deployment is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.

The first Galileo-equipped PC-24 is due for delivery in late October 2026, when installation will also begin on PlaneSense’s existing PC-24 fleet. Work on the PC-12 fleet is scheduled to start in November.

Gogo Galileo uses the Eutelsat OneWeb low-Earth-orbit satellite network and Gogo’s compact, lightweight HDX electronically steered antenna. PlaneSense’s testing indicated that the system could support multiple passengers simultaneously streaming video, taking part in video meetings and using other online services.

Pro Star Aviation will carry out the PC-12 installations under a separate arrangement. Its approved installation design covers PC-12 aircraft with or without existing connectivity systems, including aircraft currently fitted with L3 air-to-ground equipment. The programme will shift PlaneSense’s fleet connectivity provision towards satellite-based service across its entire Pilatus operation.
