Lufthansa Cargo to retain Boeing 777F service on three European routes

Lufthansa Cargo will retain Boeing 777F freighter operations on selected European routes in its winter 2026/2027 timetable, converting temporary rotations from Frankfurt to Larnaca, Istanbul and Stavanger into regular scheduled services. The carrier will operate up to three weekly 777F rotations to the three destinations, preserving dedicated freighter capacity while its Airbus A321F fleet remains suspended.

The winter timetable takes effect on 25 October and includes 88 freighter connections to 40 destinations worldwide. Lufthansa Cargo has not yet identified a replacement operator for its four short- and medium-haul A321F freighters, which have remained out of service. Former A321F destinations will meanwhile be covered by the company’s long-haul freighters or by Lufthansa Group’s passenger network.

The schedule change formalises the interim use of the larger 777F on the three Frankfurt routes. Exact frequencies for each individual route have not been disclosed. Across Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Brussels, Rome and Zurich, Lufthansa Cargo will continue to offer access to approximately 7,500 flights serving 350 destinations.
