Norwegian increases UK–Oslo winter capacity for ski tourism campaign

Norwegian Air Shuttle is increasing winter capacity from the UK to Oslo for the 2026/27 season as part of a coordinated campaign to attract more British ski tourists to Norway. The airline will add flights from London and Edinburgh compared with winter 2025/26 and raise Manchester service from two to five weekly departures, including a new Sunday flight aimed at ski travellers.

The campaign brings together Norwegian, Norway Home of Skiing, resort operator Alpinco and airport operator Avinor, with support from UK ski-tour operators Ski Safari, Ski Solutions and Crystal Ski. The partners will promote Norway as an alternative to Alpine destinations, focusing on snow reliability, less-crowded slopes and a Scandinavian winter experience.

Norway Home of Skiing is targeting an increase in British guest-nights from 150,000 to 200,000 during winter 2026/27, equivalent to roughly one-third growth. The partnership has a longer-term objective of strengthening Norway’s position in the UK ski market over the next five to 10 years.

Norwegian’s additional capacity is intended to support inbound leisure traffic from the UK. The airline’s direct UK gateways for the campaign are London, Manchester and Edinburgh, although the exact frequencies for the expanded London and Edinburgh services have not been specified.
