TCab Tech and SIDEC sign MOU to advance E20 eVTOL commercialisation in Malaysia

TCab Tech and the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) have exchanged a memorandum of understanding to explore commercialisation of the five-seat E20 tilt-rotor eVTOL in Malaysia and support the country’s emerging low-altitude economy. The agreement was concluded at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya during the opening of a public showcase running from 9 October to 9 November 2026.

TCab Tech founder and CEO Ng Yon Wui and SIDEC CEO Yong Kai Ping exchanged the MOU, witnessed by Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari and state executive councillor Ng Sze Han. Under the framework, SIDEC will help connect TCab Tech with Malaysian government agencies, industry participants and potential partners, while the company contributes expertise in eVTOL research, development and manufacturing.

TCab Tech is also planning a regional business centre in Selangor to support commercial development, local partnerships and expansion across Southeast Asia. Potential E20 applications include tourism, intercity links, connections between transport hubs and destinations, short trips between nearby cities and urban mobility.

The E20 remains in type certification with China’s Civil Aviation Administration. TCab Tech has completed key certification milestones, but no Malaysian operational approval, route, launch date, purchase commitment or production timetable has been confirmed. The aircraft is on free public display at Symphony East 3, IOI City Mall, daily from 10:00 to 22:00.
