AB Jets has retained its ARGUS Platinum Elite certification after completing a biennial company-wide safety and operations audit with zero findings. The charter operator also has three Bombardier Challenger 3500s on its fleet, with the latest aircraft now certified for charter operations, while liability coverage for its super-midsize fleet has been increased to $250 million.
The audit is required to maintain the certification, the highest of ARGUS’s three levels for charter-jet operators. Platinum Elite qualification requires consecutive Platinum audits with minimal findings, recurring maintenance and operations reviews, and a company-wide assessment every two years.
Dave Hardin, AB Jets’ director of safety and compliance, described the zero-finding result on a Platinum audit as a significant achievement. The operator’s latest Challenger 3500 completes a three-aircraft order, and all three aircraft are now included on its FAA Part 135 certificate for charter service. AB Jets also has two additional aircraft on order, according to the available report.
