Airbus delivers 72 aircraft and books 17 orders in September

Airbus delivered 72 commercial aircraft to 37 customers in September 2026 and recorded 17 gross orders, as supply-chain constraints continued to limit output and new business. The deliveries included aircraft from the A220, A320, A330 and A350 families, while the orders comprised 15 A320neos for Egypt’s Air Cairo and two A321neos for FlyOne Armenia.

September’s delivery total was broadly unchanged from the 73 aircraft handed over in the same month last year. The figure lifted Airbus’s deliveries for the first nine months of 2026 to 547 aircraft, an 8% increase from the comparable period in 2025.

The 17 September orders were Airbus’s lowest monthly intake of the year. No new A220, A330 or A350 orders were recorded. Three cancellations during the month left year-to-date gross orders at 1,174 aircraft and net orders at 1,105.

Airbus is targeting approximately 870 commercial-aircraft deliveries in 2026, compared with 793 in 2025. Reaching that goal would require about 323 additional deliveries in the fourth quarter, implying a substantial acceleration from the pace achieved through September.
