The preowned business-jet market is tightening, with fewer sales and limited availability affecting aircraft models and categories differently. AircraftPost identifies Bombardier’s Global 7500 among the scarce models in 2026, while broader market activity remains supported by resilient demand for newer, well-equipped aircraft and buyers seeking alternatives to long new-aircraft delivery backlogs.
Inventory of clean, late-model business jets is exceptionally lean, particularly among larger and newer aircraft. The Embraer Praetor 600 is also proving difficult to source, reflecting buyers’ preference for aircraft with strong maintenance and equipment records.
Despite constrained supply, activity has remained firm. International Aircraft Dealers Association members signed 334 acquisition agreements during the second quarter, up from 270 a year earlier, and closed 746 deals compared with 616 in the same period of 2025. Long- and ultra-long-range asking prices increased during the quarter, while financing, tax considerations and continued demand for private travel supported purchasing decisions.
The conditions are not uniform across the market. Scarce late-model and large-cabin aircraft may retain pricing strength, whereas older or less marketable aircraft can take longer to transact. The available data does not establish a broad decline in demand or a tightening of every aircraft category.
