LATAM Airlines Brazil has received its first Embraer E195-E2 at Embraer’s site in São José dos Campos, beginning deliveries of a type that will support the carrier’s domestic expansion in Brazil. The aircraft is the first of 12 E195-E2s due to arrive by the end of 2026, ahead of commercial service expected to start between November 2026 and March 2027.
The jet is part of a wider order placed in September 2025 for 24 firm aircraft and 50 purchase options. LATAM plans to deploy the E195-E2s across 42 routes in the first phase, including eight new routes and service to four new destinations: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé and Rondonópolis.
The aircraft will not enter passenger service immediately. Final steps before launch include customs clearance, cabin interior approval and certification with Brazil’s aviation regulator, ANAC. A further 12 E195-E2s are planned for 2027, extending the carrier’s rollout of the Embraer narrowbody across its Brazilian network.
