Airbus completes Cádiz consolidation, opens renovated El Puerto de Santa María site

Airbus has completed the consolidation of its Cádiz operations with the opening of a renovated industrial site in El Puerto de Santa María, replacing the former split between Puerto Real and El Puerto. The unified facility now brings together the workforce from both locations and houses production for the A320, A330 and A350 programmes.

The company expanded the site by 4,000 square metres of industrial space and added logistics land, new service buildings and converted former industrial areas into offices. The Cádiz footprint now employs about 750 people and continues to produce components for Airbus commercial aircraft as well as defence programmes including the A400M, MRTT, C295 and Eurofighter.

Airbus has presented the site as a multi-purpose industrial centre designed to support both commercial and defence work from a single location in Spain’s Andalusia region. The consolidation followed a multi-year project, with the final workforce transfer completed earlier this year and the formal unveiling taking place now after the completion of the plant upgrade.
