AEGEAN will launch direct flights between Athens and Damascus on 2 December 2026, adding Syria to its international network. The service will operate up to four times a week during the winter schedule, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The new link expands the carrier’s Middle East reach and restores a direct Athens connection to Damascus International Airport. Greek media reports on 6 October described the route details consistently, including the start date and frequency, while also highlighting that AEGEAN is broadening its regional network beyond existing destinations.
The move comes as AEGEAN continues to adjust its international schedule in the eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf. Alongside the Damascus service, the airline is set to resume direct Athens–Dubai flights from 23 October 2026, underlining a wider push in the region during the winter season.
