Andalucía Aerospace passes 110 members with four space startup additions

Andalucía Aerospace has expanded its membership base to more than 110 associated companies after incorporating four space startups at ESA BIC Andalucía. The additions, Albor Space, Hisperion, OLMA Space and YNSAT, were formalised during a space committee meeting in Seville, strengthening the regional cluster’s footprint in Spain’s growing space industry.

The new members add capability across several parts of the space value chain, including engineering and surface treatments for space applications, thermal control, satellite guidance, navigation and control simulation, satellite communications, non-terrestrial 5G networks and Earth-observation-based geospatial intelligence. The four firms are all being incubated at ESA BIC Andalucía, the European Space Agency-backed business incubator in the region.

The cluster’s latest expansion underlines the role of Andalucía, and particularly the Seville area, in Spain’s NewSpace ecosystem. Hisperion develops software for mission simulation and GNC validation, while OLMA Space focuses on advanced surfaces and thermal engineering. Albor Space works on satellite communications and NTN-related solutions, and YNSAT applies Earth-observation data and analytics to mining and environmental uses. The latest intake follows a broader push to build out industrial capacity around space technologies in southern Spain.
