Binter secures $510 million financing for nine Embraer E195-E2s

Binter has closed a $510 million financing package to acquire nine Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with deliveries due to begin in 2027. The agreement with Santander, CaixaBank and BBVA will lift the Canary Islands carrier’s E195-E2 fleet to 25 jets once all the aircraft are delivered.

The new aircraft are set to support Binter’s network expansion and operations across the Canary Islands, inter-island services and routes linking the archipelago with Africa. The E195-E2 is the largest model in Embraer’s E2 family and is configured for 132 seats in a 2×2 layout at Binter.

Binter had previously ordered five E195-E2s in July and secured purchase rights for four more aircraft, but the financing update does not clearly confirm whether those four rights have since been converted into firm orders. The deal follows earlier fleet financing arranged with the same banking group for aircraft already operating in Binter’s network.
