Wyvern is using the lead-up to NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas to keep safety at the centre of business aviation’s agenda, with a programme that includes the National Safety Forum, maintenance-return decision making and a demonstration of its upgraded quality and safety management system platform. The convention opens in two weeks, and Wyvern is aligning its event presence with sessions aimed at operators seeking stronger risk management workflows and clearer safety processes.
COO Andy Day, who is incoming chair of NBAA’s Safety Committee, is helping guide the forum activities threaded through the week. Sessions will cover safety management systems, risk management, fatigue management, fitness to fly and the judgement needed to return an aircraft to service after maintenance.
A panel featuring flight leader coach Todd Buczek will focus on how flight departments determine when an aircraft is ready to fly again after maintenance. The discussion will emphasise disciplined communication, clear handoffs and shared accountability between maintenance teams and flight crews.
Wyvern will also showcase its improved QSMS platform, with tools for flight risk assessment, continuous analysis and surveillance system integration, and support for aviation safety action programmes. The company positions the forum as a place for the business aviation community to exchange candid views, learn from experience and raise safety standards across the sector.
