Amy Comer to lead Pratt & Whitney Military Engines from 2027

RTX has named Amy Comer president of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines business, with the change effective 1 January 2027. She will succeed Jill Albertelli as Pratt & Whitney continues a wider leadership transition tied to Shane Eddy’s planned retirement at year-end.

Comer currently serves as vice president of Pratt & Whitney’s GTF engines business and brings more than 20 years of experience in engineering and programme management across military and commercial product lines. RTX said the move will keep leadership continuity in a business that supports propulsion programmes for U.S. forces and allies, including advanced military aircraft engines and sustainment work.

Albertelli was recently elevated to president of Pratt & Whitney, taking over from Eddy as part of the same transition. Eddy described Comer as a trusted leader with deep technical expertise and a strong track record of disciplined execution. The appointment places another executive with military and commercial engine experience at the centre of Pratt & Whitney’s defence propulsion portfolio as the company prepares for the shift in January.
