Delta unveils biggest-ever LAX schedule with two new routes for 2027

Delta Air Lines is expanding its Los Angeles operation with its largest-ever schedule at LAX, adding new nonstop service to Monterey and Philadelphia and increasing frequencies on seven domestic routes. Together with its partners, the carrier expects to offer more than 200 daily departures at the summer 2027 peak, alongside a stronger premium proposition at the airport.

The new Monterey service begins on 19 December 2026 with twice-daily flights, operated by Delta Connection using an Embraer E175. Daily Los Angeles-Philadelphia service follows on 7 June 2027 aboard an Airbus A321neo. Delta will also add flights from LAX to Boston, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego, Seattle, Houston, Cincinnati and San Antonio.

Delta plans to operate about 180 of its own daily departures from LAX in summer 2027, compared with roughly 170 today. The total above 200 includes partner flying, underlining the scale of the carrier’s west coast build-out as it positions Los Angeles as a larger domestic and international gateway ahead of LA28.
