Saudi Arabia’s flyadeal is preparing to add connecting flights to its network, shifting from a pure point-to-point low-cost model as it builds hub-and-connect traffic through the kingdom. The move will link international arrivals, including from India, with domestic destinations such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, Dammam and Abha, while strengthening the airline’s South Asia strategy.
Interim chief executive Sanjiv Kapoor, who also serves as Saudi Group strategy executive vice president, described connecting services as a vital part of flyadeal’s next phase. India is a key focus: the carrier launched Riyadh-Hyderabad in July and plans to open Riyadh-Mumbai on 3 October 2026, a route expected to add more than 7,400 seats a month.
Pakistan remains another major growth market. flyadeal operates 20 weekly flights there with an average load factor of 82%, serving Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Sialkot from three Saudi airports. A new Karachi-Medina service will lift the Pakistan-Saudi route count to seven as the airline broadens its regional network.
