Azul to operate Brazil’s shortest domestic route and launch its longest

Azul is operating Brazil’s shortest domestic route and will add the country’s longest domestic service at the end of August, widening the contrast within its home market network. The shortest sector links João Pessoa and Recife in about 35 minutes, while the new Campinas-Viracopos to Boa Vista route is scheduled to take 4 hours 45 minutes.

The two routes underline the scale of domestic flying in Brazil, where short Northeast shuttle services coexist with long cross-country sectors connecting the southeast to the far north. Recife features prominently in Azul’s network profile, appearing among both its shortest and longest domestic flights. The company’s route map also includes Recife-Porto Alegre at about 4 hours 30 minutes, alongside other long sectors of roughly four hours.

The Campinas-Boa Vista service extends Azul’s reach into Roraima with a direct link from one of its main hubs. The route is listed as a scheduled domestic addition rather than a seasonal experiment, giving the carrier a new long-haul sector within Brazil’s internal market.
